Technique: Hold the gua sha tool at a 15- to 45-degree angle against your skin, and using gentle pressure, scrape the tool along specific areas of your face in upward and outward strokes. Common areas to target include the forehead, cheeks, jawline, and neck.
Strokes: Use long, sweeping strokes rather than short, quick movements. You can vary the pressure depending on your comfort level, but be gentle to avoid causing irritation or bruising.
Focus on Pressure Points: Pay special attention to pressure points and areas of tension, such as around the eyebrows, temples, and jawline. You can also use the curved edge of the tool to gently massage acupressure points on the face.
Repeat: Repeat the process on each side of your face for a few minutes, focusing on areas where you want to improve circulation, reduce puffiness, or relieve tension.
